With the rapid economic development,a large number of rural areas into the construction of towns, new urban areas also inflow of fresh blood-migrant workers,in order to solve the problem of migrant workers and their surrounding villages and towns children’s education,urban-rural combination of schools came into being. However, some of the students transferred to the upper grades have a weak learning base and a confusing language knowledge structure, coupled with low parental attention to their children;teachers are busy with chores and neglect management;and the school is newly built and has limited management, resulting in many poor language students who have poor performance in basic language learning habits of listening, reading, and writing. In order to solve the problem of poor language learning habits of some upper grade students in the combined urban and rural areas, this study takes Zhenjiang City Y Primary School as an example and uses questionnaire survey method, interview method and observation method to investigate students and their parents and teachers.By investigating the four learning habits of listening, speaking, reading and writing of upper grade students, the problems of students’ language learning habits based on data analysis include: lack of attention when listening and comprehension when listening;lack of self-confidence and initiative when speaking;lack of quality and reflection when reading;and lack of observation and revision awareness when writing. The reasons for these problems come from three sources: the teacher factor, which manifests itself in the form of busy work and insufficient attention, the emphasis on knowledge rather than habits, the lack of strictness with students, and the influence of their own bad habits. The parent factor is the lack of continuous supervision;lack of role modeling;and lack of awareness of home-school communication. The student factor is weak foundation, insufficient learning ability;lack of intrinsic motivation, poor learning attitude;weak will and inappropriate learning methods. In order to make students develop good language learning habits, corresponding countermeasures are proposed from four aspects: firstly, teachers need to tailor their teaching to students’ weaknesses in listening, speaking, reading and writing habits, secondly, schools can create bridging courses;open parent schools;establish a monitoring and evaluation system, and then parents need to create a good learning environment for their children to learn Then parents need to create a good learning environment for their children to learn and live in;take the initiative to care for their children and build a good parent-child relationship;carry out parent-child reading;and strengthen the parent-teacher interface. Finally, students themselves need to correct their attitudes, investigate and remedy their differences, make plans and self-manage,and use reason and emotion to fight against bad study habits.
