Research On Relieving Loneliness Of Urban Empty-nesters By Team Work

With the accelerating process of urbanization and the aggravation of population aging,the number of empty nesters in China has begun to show a growing trend.According to the China Family Development Report released in 2019,the number of empty nesters in China accounts for more than 60 percent of the total elderly population.In today’s basic material life can get security,urban empty-nesters are more eager to spiritual needs,but because of the long-term lack of child care or emergencies caused by loneliness,depression,anxiety and other negative emotions,the empty nester spiritual needs cannot be satisfied,the resulting a series of mental health problems,one of the main problem is loneliness.At present,almost all urban empty-nesters are more or less lonely,so it is urgent to help urban empty-nesters alleviate their loneliness through external forces.Based on such background,the author embarks from the field of social work,the article USES the method of group work in urban empty-nesters loneliness problems,combining with the professional values of social work concept and knowledge,expect to explore effective ways to alleviate urban empty-nesters loneliness,relieve urban empty nest old man’s loneliness,improve the quality of their life,promote life satisfaction and happiness.From the perspective of social work,this study adopts the method of group work and takes the empty-nesters in L community of D city as the research object to help the elderly out of the loneliness dilemma,relieve their loneliness and improve their happiness in later life.In this article,through questionnaire survey,interviews,and self-evaluation of UCLA loneliness scale(third edition),and other methods,in the full understanding of the status quo of urban empty-nesters loneliness,causes and the problems on the basis of the social worker according to the old man to fill in the self-evaluation of UCLA loneliness scale of final score and the reasons for the formation of urban empty-nesters loneliness,select out 10’s willingness to participate in group activities of L community empty-nesters,combined with maslow’s needs,social support and the theory of the life course three design targeted group activities,the six groups of content around ease empty-nesters loneliness always the main line,By encouraging empty nesters in L community to actively participate in group activities,promoting the interaction between parents and children and members,helping them build a family interaction communication platform and a neighborhood mutual support network,enhancing the self-esteem and confidence of the elderly,expanding their interpersonal communication circle and realizing the self-empowerment of the elderly.The innovation of this paper is that it focuses on the urban empty-nesters and adopts the method of group work to try to alleviate the loneliness of this group.The main deficiency is that the individual differences of the elderly are ignored.To fundamentally solve the loneliness of urban empty-nesters,more resources and service provision are needed,and there is still a lot of work to be done.
