Computational thinking is one of the three scientific thinking. It is a hot research topic in the field of computer education. It is also a basic skill that everyone should master. With the implementation of the 2017 version of the new curriculum standard for information technology in general high schools, the education of computational thinking is shifting from colleges and universities to primary and secondary schools. How to improve the computational thinking ability of primary and secondary school students is a big problem facing all information technology teachers in primary and secondary schools. This study is based on such a reality to make an attempt to use scratch programming teaching to cultivate high school students’computational thinking ability. This paper focuses on the practical exploration of scratch teaching in senior high school for the cultivation of computational thinking1.Conduct literature review, read domestic and foreign literature on Computational Thinking,PBL teaching mode and scratch teaching design, understand the research status of computational thinking,Computational Thinking Education and scratch teaching at home and abroad, define the concept of computational thinking used in this paper as the definition of Computational Thinking in "information technology curriculum standards for general senior high school(2017 Edition)",and study the supporting research Other basic theories.2.Design a high school scratch teaching mode for the cultivation of computational thinking. The model adopts PBL mode for scratch teaching. The main teaching goal is to cultivate students’computational thinking ability. The model is divided into six steps:selecting projects, making plans, exploring activities, making works, exchanging results and evaluating activities. In the process of practice, teachers guide students to take six steps as the main line to promote project progress;at the same time,it combines the cultivation of Computational Thinking and project-based teaching, and integrates the computational thinking method into the six steps,so that students can learn by doing and learn by doing In the middle ".3.A community class in grade one of senior high school is selected to carry out teaching practice for nearly one semester. The practice is divided into three stages:preparation stage, basic stage and improvement stage. In the preparatory stage, basic knowledge of Computational Thinking and scratch basic operation are introduced;in the basic stage, scratch programming skills and Computational Thinking problem-solving mode are emphasized;in the improvement stage, the key is to complete the process of complex projects In order to improve the ability of using computational thinking to solve problems. Before and after the teaching practice, the CTLs scale was used to measure the students’ computational thinking ability,so as to test the teaching practice effect of cultivating students’ Computational Thinking Ability;after teaching practice, the teachers and students were interviewed to obtain the change of students’ thinking concept after teaching practice and teachers’ professional evaluation of teaching research. The practice of project-based scratch teaching in senior high school is a new attempt. This research is an innovation of the traditional teaching mode.It really achieves the,"student-oriented" teaching concept, and cultivates students’ autonomous learning ability, cooperative inquiry ability, computational thinking ability, etc.,which is conducive to students’lifelong learning habit.
