This paper is based on the consideration of the compilation and practical application of the high school music teaching materials published by People’s Music Publishing House(PMPH for short).With the aid of the theory and method of music philosophy and music pedagogy,and based on the practical experience of high school music teaching,under the guidance of “Ordinary High School Music Curriculum Standards”(hereinafter short for “Standards”),try to analyze and research the situation of high school music teaching materials published by PMPH from the perspective of multi-culture,exploring the teaching materials in writing and actual application in three high schools in Xuzhou.The advantages and lags in the compilation and application of teaching materials will be found,and then their views will be put forward on the compilation of the teaching materials and the positioning of my ideas.This paper hopes that teaching materials compiling should follow the trend of social development and reconstruct cultural history,value and knowledge system of various types of music in this multicultural era.On the basis of attaching importance of aesthetic education,the cultivation of students’ multicultural ideology can be paid more and more attention and global perspective can be set up.This thesis has four parts.Chapter one is introduction,including research background,research status,and research significance of the high school music teaching materials published by PMPH and application in a multicultural perspective as well as innovation of this paper.Chapter two is the illustration of the change of multiculturalism in Contemporary Music Education and “Standards”.Chapter three is ontology research of high school music teaching materials published by PMPH in a multicultural perspective,analysis of teaching materials application situation and results in Xuzhou and results in Xuzhou.Besides,the importance of high school music position will be put forward.Chapter four is development thinking of teaching materials,application and position of highschool music curriculum in the perspective of multiculturalism.
