With the promulgation of the new curriculum standards,the country has paid more and more attention to the development of students’ key competencies,and developing students key competencies have an irreplaceable role in improving students’ essential qualities and key abilities.Key competencies of various disciplines are bridges connecting key competencies.Chemistry,as one of the natural disciplines,has played a important role in cultivating students’ independent thinking,flexible application,good at discovery,and courageous exploration.Today,the college entrance examination is still a turning point in life,and exam scores are still deeply concerned by students and parents.However,if the development of students’ key competencies are not actually implemented in class,exam scores will like an town with only beautiful appearance but no real use.This paper studies the design of chemistry teaching based on key competencies,and strives to truly implement the key competencies of students in chemistry into class teaching.This article first reviews the literature related to the research topic,clarifies the research method and theoretical basis of this paper,and defines the concepts related to the research topic.Next,by interviewing teachers and conducting a questionnaire survey on the current status of key competencies of students in chemistry,the current status of students’ key competencies cultivation in chemistry is analyzed.On the basis of the previous work,combined with the teaching content of key competencies in chemistry,five core teaching strategies based on key competencies are proposed: formulating the teaching objectives of key competencies in chemistry,constructing the structure of the teaching content,and introducing the original problem-driven teaching,creating situational fun teaching,and integrating experimental inquiry teaching.Finally,according to the new curriculum standards,three teaching cases based on key competencies were designed under the guidance of teaching strategies and teaching connotations.This teaching design was applied to teaching practice,and the collected data was qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed.The research of this thesis found that class teaching can only effectively develop students’ key competencies through the combination of multiple teaching strategies;the development of students’ key competencies in chemistry has a long-term development,and teachers can only reasonably use teaching strategy based on key competencies when they have a deep understanding of the meaning of key competencies;chemistry teaching design based on key competencies can effectively develop students’ key competencies and enhance students’ interest in learning,learning ability and academic performance.
