In recent years,with the increase of trade between China and Thailand,the friendly relations of the two countries have been on the rise,and the cause of TCFL has been developing and growing in Thailand.As the volunteer of the 18thChinese teachers to Thailand,the author taught at the Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School from June 2019 to March 2020.During the teaching process,the author found that the teaching of Chinese vocabulary in the middle school was not very effective.And there were a series of complex problems when facing different teaching objects and teaching environments.Therefore,there was still a large room for improvement in Chinese vocabulary teaching.This article will take the Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School for example,discussing some problems in Chinese vocabulary teaching in Thailand middle school,and putting forward to some suggestions about teaching skills and teaching strategies.It is hoped to provide some suggestions and help to the volunteers of Chinese language teachers who will come to Thailand and teach in the middle school in the future.This paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the reasons for selecting the topic,the research status at home and abroad,the research significance,the research content and the research methods.And gives an objective and comprehensive description of the current situation of Chinese vocabulary teaching in Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School.In Chapter two,the author participated in the design of the mid-term and final examination paper of Chinese vocabulary class in junior high school,and selected some questions as the questionnaire.Through analysising the data of wrong questions,the author explained the effects corresponding to different games in different Chinese vocabulary class in detail,so as to find out the problems in time,and then put forward the solutions.In chapter three,the author introduces some examples of using games in Chinese vocabulary class.This part mainly develops from three aspects:the application of games in vocabulary class,the combination of games and learning,and four practical cases.The teaching method suitable for students in this school is discussed.The chapter four summarizes the research of this paper,and explains the shortcomings of this paper and the prospect of the future.Different Chinese vocabulary needs different types of games to teach and practice.On the basis of a clear understanding of the characteristics of Thai students,the author created some new games in accordance with the customs and habits of Thailand,which also provided a good basis for determining the teaching content and improving the teaching quality of Chinese vocabulary teaching in this school.
