| Improving students’ sense of social responsibility is a basic strategy of our country’s education,and it is also the basis of implementing the core quality of biology.SSI teaching is one of the ways to foster social responsibility by introducing social hot topics into the classroom,encouraging students to discuss and seek reasonable solutions from multiple positions.From the perspective of social responsibility in biology,this paper conducts a one-semester SSI teaching experiment in senior one.The main research work carried out and the results obtained are as follows:1.Define the concepts of SSI and SSI teaching and social responsibility through literature research,and summarize and sort out the current research situation of SSI teaching method and social responsibility training at home and abroad.Then we analyze from three aspects: new curriculum standard,teaching material and examination paper,understand the connotation,material and quality level of social responsibility in biology of senior high school,and show that new textbooks and national volumes pay more attention to social science issues.2.According to the new curriculum standards,the questionnaire was compiled according to the quality requirements of the secondary school level.The questionnaire was used to evaluate the current status of the social responsibility literacy level of high school students who just entered the school.Formed ecological awareness,but lacked the ability to reasonably distinguish pseudoscience and advocate environmental protection.In the dimension of caring for life and healthy life,students still have not formed a correct understanding of healthy life.Consciousness of applying biological knowledge to practice.3.Combining the characteristics of SSI and the content of the textbook,the four topics of "African Swine Fever","Somatic Cell Clone Monkey","Artificial Green Leaf" and "Australian Wildfire" were selected to match the compulsory one of the Human Education Edition,and the teaching design was written..The experimental class adopts the SSI teaching mode that focuses on hot topics,arranges students tocollect data,and writes short essays before and after class,and applies knowledge in the form of debate in the class;the control class adopts the traditional teaching mode based on knowledge transfer,According to the arrangement of textbooks to build a knowledge framework in the class.Before and after each experimental teaching,collect short essays written by students and compare the frequency of various opinions;after each experimental teaching,understand the basis of the change of students’ social responsibility awareness through interviews;at the same time collect important test scores and final questionnaire data as Evaluate the effect of SSI teaching method on improving the social responsibility of biology.The results show that the SSI teaching method is better than the traditional teaching method in the aspects of cultivating students’ social responsibility,ecological consciousness and scientific practice,SSI teaching method can strengthen the connection between students and society,and make students more willing to participate in the discussion of health issues.In addition,SSI teaching method can make the boring knowledge interesting and increase students’ participation in constructing the knowledge related to the issues,in addition,the study also found that the implementation of SSI teaching improves students’ civic values,ability to participate in the discussion of social affairs and thinking ability. |
