Objective:In recent years,with the rapid development of social economy,all kinds of emerging technologies not only provide convenience for the public,but also bring adverse effects,among which the decline of youth physical health is the most obvious.Numerous studies have shown that inadequate physical activity is an important factor affecting the physical fitness of adolescents,and the primary reason for inadequate physical activity is the heavy burden of schoolwork and long desk work hours.However,there is currently a large body of research demonstrating that physical activity has a positive impact on academic performance.As one of the core learning abilities of a person,memory is an important link in the process of processing-short-term memory,which is closely related to academic performance,but there are few reports on the relationship between physical activity and short-term memory.Therefore,this study explores the relationship between physical activity level and short-term memory of junior high school students,reveals the effect of physical activity level on short-term memory of students,and further objectively clarifies the impact of different physical activities on short-term memory through objective analysis of experimental data.This research can provide theoretical basis and help for students’ scientific participation in physical exercise and cultivating memory.The results can provide students with practical reference standards for improving their short-term memory and provide some theoretical assistance for subsequent multi-dimensional or related intervention research.Methods:In this study,taking the junior high school of Shenzhen Shi xia School as an example,a random sampling method was used to select 120 students from three grades as test subjects,of which half were male and female.The participants’ physical activity was measured using the accelerometer GT3X and the wearing time was 7D.The physical activity level was monitored.During the period,the memory span test program Memspan was used to test the short-term memory of students.The physical activity level is divided into national adolescent physical activity recommended amount of "60 minutes of medium and high intensity physical activity daily" standard,and the minimum daily recommended amount of 30min MVPA time is used as the basis for the classification of the adolescent physical activity level group in this article,which is classified as qualified Physical activity group(Group F),lack of physical activity group(Group L),extreme lack of physical activity group(Group E).With the support of data analysis software such as SPSS24.0 and Graphpad prism5,the short-term memory of junior high school students with different levels of physical activity was compared and analyzed to explore whether there were any differences.Results:1.The physical activity level of the 120 students tested basically reached the recommended minimum daily recommended amount of 30min.Among them,students who reached the national recommended amount of 60min daily physical activity level,as many as 54 students in three grades,physical activity time For students less than 30 minutes,there are only 18 students in the three grades.After grouping the results of monitoring students’ physical activity,there were 30,20,and 10 boys in each of the F,L,and E groups,accounting for 50%,33%,and 17%of the total number of boys,respectively 24,28,and 8 people,respectively accounting for 40%,47%,and 13%of the total number of girls.In addition,the proportion of boys in Group F is higher than that of girls;the number of girls in Group L is higher than boys.2.There were significant differences in energy consumption and sitting time between group F and group L,and extremely significant differences in energy consumption and sitting time between group E and group F.The amount of energy expended at the same level of physical activity was not related to gender,while the amount of energy expended at the same level of physical activity was closely related to the level of physical activity.Among the three grades,the average middle and high physical activity time of the junior middle school students is the longest,the third primary school is the shortest,the first primary school is the shortest;The largest energy consumption,the second and the shortest.3.Correlation analysis was performed on the physical activity time of students and short-term memory test indicators.The physical activity time of all the students had a low positive correlation with the memory score test value(r=0.427),and a low positive correlation with the memory word length test value.(r=0.444);the physical activity time of boys was low positively correlated with the memory score test results(r=0.458),and was moderately positively correlated with the memory word length(r=0.525);the physical activity time of girls and the memory score test results There was a low degree of positive correlation(r=0.489)and a low degree of positive correlation with the word length of memory(r=0.382).The results showed that the longer the physical activity time,the better the short-term memory test score,the longer the word length and the shorter The stronger the memory ability.4.In the results of the short-term memory test of the students with different physical activity time groups,in terms of memory scores,there were extremely significant differences between the F group and the L and E groups(P<0.01),and there was no difference between the L group and the E group(P>0.05).In terms of memory word length,there were extremely significant differences between group F and groups L and E(P<0.01),and there were significant differences between group L and group E(P<0.05).Short-term The memory score and memory word length indicators in the memory test results show that there are significant differences(P<0.05)and extremely significant differences(P<0.01)between the F group and the L and E groups,respectively.There are differences(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Compared with the past,students’ physical activity has improved slightly,and the situation is more optimistic.The level of physical activity can basically meet the minimum recommended daily amount of 30min;45%of students can meet the national standard of 60min for high and middle-level physical activity.Among them,the proportion of male students is more than that of female students,and the physical activity is more active than that of female students.Among different grades,second-year students have the longest middle-to-high physical activity time,followed by third-year students and shortest first-year students.2.At moderate to high physical activity intensity,as the physical activity time increases,the students’ memory word length becomes longer,their memory score increases,and short-term memory increases with the increase of short-term memory capacity.The short-term memory is generally better than the short-term memory of the student group with a long physical activity time,that is,the longer the middle-to-high physical activity time,the better the short-term memory ability.3.In the short-term memory test of junior high school students,the difference in short-term memory ability between groups with different levels of physical activity increased.By analyzing and comparing the short-term memory results of students with different middle and high physical activity time,it was found that in the short-term memory test index memory score and word length,both boys and girls showed significant differences between the physical activity qualified group and the lacking group,and the extremely lacking group There are very significant differences.This shows that the short-term memory of the students with the qualified physical activity level is better than that of the lacking group and the extreme lacking group,and the difference is more significant despite the increase of the physical activity level.
