Research On Resident Participation In Community Volunteering

With the deepening of the reform of the economic system,the substantial improvement of the public quality of citizens and the continuous extension of the field of activities,members of society are actively participating in social construction.Among them,the community,as a regional unit of social aggregation,plays a key role in promoting the growth of civic service awareness,promoting the practice of voluntary service,and realizing good social governance,and it is an important place for citizens to participate in social construction.After years of development,community volunteer service has made great progress in the number of participants,organization scale,service field,service quality and other aspects and produced great social benefits,becoming an important force to improve the level of community service.The development and perfection of community voluntary service and the extensive participation of community residents complement each other.Community voluntary service can extend the breadth and depth of public service,deliver more extensive,more high-quality and more diversified service content for community residents,and meet residents' multi-level service needs.Residents' participation in community voluntary service can cultivate their sense of public service,highlight the humanistic spirit,enhance their sense of social responsibility and community identity,and meet the needs of residents'multi-stage development.From the perspective of mechanism,residents'participation in community voluntary service is undergoing a transformation from government-led participation in the past to residents' independent participation,and a process of transformation from external motivation to internal motivation.To a large extent,community volunteer service plays an important role in promoting the realization of residents' self-management,self-decision-making,self-supervision and self-service.Under the background of the in-depth development of community volunteer service,residents as an important participant,it is of practical significance to study the residents' participation in community volunteer service.In this paper,Huojiaying Community in Changping District,Beijing was selected as the case study object.Through the combination of literature analysis and field research,the research materials were obtained,and the residents' participation in community volunteer service was deeply studied.The author thinks that,at present,the community volunteer service residents to participate in practice is still in the primary stage of development,is still facing the community volunteer service organization development is imperfect,the platform construction is not scientific,activity management is not standard,the external factors such as insufficient incentive,as well as residents of community consciousness,their own conditions limited internal factors such as the double restriction.Based on theoretical research and taking residents' participation as the entry point,this paper explores the realization mechanism of promoting residents'continuous,organized and normalized participation from four aspects of residents' participation willingness,ability,channels and forms,and constructs a support system for residents' participation path in community voluntary service,in order to achieve the effectiveness target.
