In the Internet age,various self-media platforms are emerging in an endless stream,and short videos have increasingly become the first choice for people to record their lives.This has also attracted the attention of a group of foreigners who either live in China for a long time or have travel experience in China.As a cultural community and video platform with a high concentration of young generations in China,the number of foreign uploader at bilibili is increasing day by day.They record China in their eyes with images,and use down-to-earth language to tell the cultural differences between their country and China.Present to the audience through short videos.They use the perspective of others to tell Chinese stories,shape China’s image,try to play the role of cross-cultural communication in Sino-foreign exchanges,and build a bridge of communication between countries.This article expounds the ways and methods of foreign uploaders telling Chinese stories from the perspective of others,and explores the important role that foreign uploaders play in the process of shaping China’s image.This study selected 6 foreign uploaders from station bilibili,took 904 videos of their Chinese stories as the research objects,and used content analysis methods to code the main body,narrative content,and narrative characteristics of Chinese stories,and found that foreign uploaders are biased towards rich types of micro-topics in the content of telling Chinese stories.,and the emotional attitude is biased towards neutrality,and he is keen on experiential narrative.In addition,this article also analyzes the future development of the foreign uploaders’ main video at bilibili,aiming to maximize its strengths and avoid weaknesses,hoping to innovate from the subject,content and platform,so that foreign UP owners can tell Chinese stories and spread China in a better way.culture.
