Dmitry Glukhovsky's "Post" (Chapter 1-2) Russian-Chinese Translation Practice Report

Science fiction itself has long eluded the mainstream literary pantheon,and the number of Russian–language science fiction novels translated into China is even smaller,but science fiction is rich in ideas and culture,and the study of outstanding Soviet Russian science fiction is of great significance to our understanding of the Russian way of thinking and spiritual pursuit.Dmitri Glukhovsky was a contemporary Russian science fiction writer,war correspondent and radio presenter.He made his debut as an online author with the science fiction anti–utopian novel Metro and regularly publishes chapters of Metro on the website www.metro.ru,thus gaining a wide audience.This translation practice report is also taken from his science fiction novel Post,which tells the story of Russia after a fierce war and calls for awareness of the evils of war.There is currently no Chinese translation of this novel.By analysing these two features and using translation techniques such as co–translation,co–translation and sub–translation to analyse the specific difficulties encountered in the translation process,the translator has been able to convey the original author's ideas to the reader,while ensuring the accuracy and readability of the translation,and striving to achieve the greatest possible stylistic unity with the original text.Through this activity,the translator hopes to apply the translation theory learnt in the textbook to the actual translation and improve his or her translation skills.
