The Composition And Protection Of Cultural Heritage Of The Jiaxing Section Of The Grand Canal

The Grand Canal is a magnificent water conservancy building that condensed the sweat and wisdom of the working people in ancient China.It is the earliest and largest canal in the world.It had diverse natural and cultural resources.Jiaxing is an important canal city along the Grand Canal.The canal passes through the city,confirming the superior geographical position and leaving a rich cultural heritage for both sides of the strait.Since the successful application of the Grand Canal in 2014,behind the golden business card of World Cultural Heritage,there are higher standards for the protection of the canal section.The protection of of the Jiaxing Section of the Canal is also facing new challenges and opportunities.This article takes the Jiaxing section of the canal as the research object,and uses the research method of combining field investigation and document research to sort out the composition and protection of the Jiaxing canal's cultural heritage.The first chapter summarizes the historical evolution of the Jiangnan Canal and the Jiaxing section of the canal,and at the same time analyzes the relationship between the canal and the development of the Jiaxing city;the second chapter combs the cultural heritage of the Jiaxing section of the canal,which is divided into material cultural heritage and nonmaterial cultural heritage according to the existing form.The tangible cultural heritage is classified and summarized,and the value of cultural heritage is explained;Chapter 3analyzes the protection process and current situation of the Jiaxing section of the canal,and uses Wangjiangjing Town as a typical introduction.Finally,it analyzes the existing problems and proposes their own countermeasures and reflections.,I hope it can be inspiring for the protection of the Jiaxing section of the canal.At this stage,while the Jiaxing section of the canal has achieved excellent results,there are also a series of problems such as lack of planning,lack of talents,lack of understanding,lack of characteristics.So how to better protect and truly build the Grand Canal cultural belt requires further efforts.
