| The assassination of Ito Hirobumi by Ahn Jung-geun was a major event that changed the course of history in East Asia in the early twentieth century.Ahn Jung-geun’s feat not only made him a national hero of Korea,but also engraved his name in the hearts of the Chinese people forever,becoming a spiritual banner for resisting imperialist aggression and striving for national independence and freedom.Since Ahn Jung-geun sacrificed for more than a hundred years,literary and artistic works based on Ahn Jung-geun have appeared in various historical periods in China and the Korean Peninsula.Among these works,biographies,novels and films have the widest spread and greatest influence.This subject takes the subject matter and imagery as the basic theories,supplements the biographical literary theory,social historical criticism,ideological criticism and other critical methods.A multi-angle,multi-level three-dimensional study was carried out.By examining the representative works of Ahn Jung-geun in China,North Korea and Korea,this paper analyzes the changes in the image of “Ahn Jung-geun” in literary and artistic works in different countries and different eras.The main part of this thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter studies the image of Ahn Jung-geun in modern biographies by taking Park Eun-sik and Zheng Yuan’s biographies as examples.Compare the different image features of the two biographies,and analyze the reasons for the differences from the perspective of the relationship between the subject and the other.The second chapter will study the image of Ahn Jung-geun in early novels and contemporary novels respectively.Early novels refer to the novels written by Chinese literati in the ten years from 1910 to 1920 with the theme of the Ahn Jung-geun incident.Since this decade was in the turbulent period of Chinese society,this article will analyze the image of Ahn Jung-geun in these novels based on the social environment at that time.To study the image of Ahn Jung-geun in contemporary novels,this paper takes Ah Cheng’s “Ahn Jung-geun killed Ito Hirobumi”and Lee Moon-yeol “Immortality” as examples to discuss the development of Ahn Jung-geun’s image in contemporary literature.The third chapter analyzes the images of Ahn Jung-geun in North Korean and South Korean films,taking the 1979 North Korean film “Ahn Jung-geun killed Ito Hirobumi” and the 2004 South Korean film “Doma Ahn Joong Keun” as the research objects,and compares the two countries’ films and television works.What are the similarities and differences in images,discuss how the same historical theme is presented in countries of the same nation and different social systems.Finally,this article will refer to Foucault’s "genealogy" historical research theory,sort out the image of Ahn Jung-geun in literary works over the past century,and discuss the contemporary value of the study of Ahn Jung-geun’s image. |
