The imagologie study is one of the important theoretical basis for overseasChinese literary studies, over the years, the study results on imagologie study ofoverseas Chinese literature are impressive, that the results of these studies as theresearch object, this paper examines the theme of the use of the image of science inthe study of overseas Chinese literature.In this paper, three aspects of the imagologie study of overseas Chinese literature.First, sort out the historical context, the introduction of the theory of learning from theimage, the post-colonial imagologie leading to the disciplinary theory of the consciousof the imagologie study of overseas Chinese literature has gone through three stages,and then entered a mature stage. Second, induction of the three image types in theimagologie study of overseas Chinese literature, namely the plastic image, exoticimage and double "image, and analyze the characteristics of a variety of image typesof research. Finally, several issues that need attention in studies of the imagologiestudy of overseas Chinese literature, they are: ignore the exotic image and the imageof the "social" serious pattern tendency, the lack of theoretical research.
