| The original text of this translation practice task is adapted from chapter 4 of Fostering Innovative Cultures in Sports,written by James Skinner and published at Springer International Publishing in 2018.The book mainly introduces how sports enterprises can innovate in practice according to their cultural characteristics.In the case analysis part,this paper mainly summarizes the translation methods and techniques in solving difficulties in practice from the perspectives of the selection and expression of words,the adjustment of word order and the discourse cohesion.For the translation of term vocabulary,this paper mainly adopts the means of literal translation.For the translation of non-term vocabulary,it mainly selects its expression according to the context.In the discourse cohesion part,this paper analyzes the grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion in the text.For referential cohesion,this paper mainly utilizes two methods of restoring denotative reference and restoring verb substitution.For lexical cohesion,this paper mainly uses recurring translation methods.It is hoped that the paper may provide some references for future translation task. |
