| Dunhuang art is one of the representatives of China’s multi-ethnic and multi-cultural exchanges and fusion, with a long history and cultural accumulation, and the Dunhuang Pipa score and Tang Dynasty flying murals are among the typical representatives of its artistic value.Music, painting, and dance are all important components of the arts, and there is an inextricable link between the music style of Dunhuang during the Tang Dynasty,as expressed in the Dunhuang Pipa score, and the painting and dance styles of the Tang Dynasty,as expressed in the Flying Sky murals. From an art historical perspective,it is necessary to place the two in a comparative context.Through this comparison,we explore the relationship between the two as artistic features of music, painting, and dance, and analyze the aesthetic characteristics and cultural core of Tang dynasty Dunhuang art. This paper uses the theoretical approach of art to study the ancient music of the pipa and the flying frescoes at Dunhuang during the Tang Dynasty, exploring the cross-comparative study of the two and breaking through the boundaries between art disciplines.First,we compare the similarities between the two and explore their correlations;second,we explore the differences between the two and find out their differences;and third,we find out the interoperability of the basic elements, ideas and contexts of the two on the basis of their correlations and differences. Finally, the artistic, cultural, and historical values of the two are summarized in the above comparative study. The purpose of this paper is to further explore the social, historical, cultural, and artistic fundamentals of Dunhuang during the Tang Dynasty, based on a study of the artistic characteristics and aesthetic implications of the pipa music and the flying frescoes at Dunhuang during the Tang Dynasty.Throughout the text, the cross-comparison between the ancient music of the pipa and the artistic style of the flying frescoes at Dunhuang during the Tang Dynasty is analyzed objectively and rationally, and the essence of the artistic style of Dunhuang during the Tang Dynasty is derived. The study concludes that in addition to their own forms of expression and thoughts and feelings, different artistic disciplines have similar aesthetic and cultural connotations under the influence of historical, cultural and geographical factors, and that the essence of their artistic styles is the fusion and embodiment of different degrees of social and spiritual culture. This is also the biggest highlight and innovation of this paper. |
