With the progress and development of society and the acceleration of the pace of urban life,people's pressure surges sharply,and many people cannot adapt to it.Eventually,brain function activities are disordered,resulting in different degrees of obstacles in mental activities such as cognition,emotion,behavior and will.Therefore,mental health is particularly important.Translator choose to translate books on mental disorders,which can enable more Chinese readers and medical personnel to understand the opinions of Russian scholars on psychiatry and help scholars of the two countries to learn and exchange in the field of psychiatry.This translation report mainly takes the first and second chapters of the "Guide to Mental Disorders for Metropolitan Residents" translated by the translator as an example,analyzes and summarizes the translation methods and suitable translation strategies in the process of translation of popular science literary works,On the basis of fully understanding the original material,carefully studying the background knowledge involved in the material,combining some features of the popular science sub-genre and the difficulties encountered in the translation process,summarized the methods of the Russian popular science literature translation process,Including vocabulary level and sentence level.The research results and experience of this translation practice report can provide useful reference for the translation practice of related types of Russian popular science texts in the future.All the methods and analyses involved in this article are based on the translation examples of the work "Guide to Mental Disorders for Metropolitan Residents",which also has certain reference value for other people interested in psychiatry.
