Eileen Chang(1920-1995)is a very individualistic writer in the literary history of the 20 th century in China. Her life's creation involves novels, essays, film scripts, translation and other fields, among which novels have achieved the highest achievement.Eileen Chang's late style creation no longer continues the traditional novel writing mode of expressiveness and sensibility in her early novels, and focuses on the complexity of narrative techniques in novels. The tendency of novels to film is particularly obvious.Eileen Chang is also committed to opening up the field of creation of new themes, and her masterpieces of late style novels are highly experimental. This article follows Said's "late style" theory and returns to the work itself, taking "Floating Flower Waves","Lust,Caution",and "Little Reunion" as examples to discuss the formation of Eileen Chang's late style and present the diversity of Eileen Chang's late style.Through careful reading and analysis of Eileen Chang's late works,we can grasp the path of Eileen Chang's literary style change, and further understand the concept of "depoliticize" behind the novel and Eileen Chang's efforts to deconstruct her own myth. The first chapter explores the change of Eileen Chang's writing style. From "A Story of a Foreign Land"(1946)to "Gorgeous Destiny",Eileen Chang developed a style different from that of "Legend".After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,this style can only exist in the form of "potential writing",and the later styles have begun to take shape;but from 1947 to 1952,as a screenwriter,Eileen Chang transplanted her early literary creation style into the script creation, which laid the foundation for the filming of late novelsThe second chapter discusses Eileen Chang's novels written overseas. The experimental colors of "Floating Flower Waves","Lust,Caution" and "Little Reunion" are obvious."Floating Flower Waves" is an experiment on social fiction, expressing the plight of an era and the question of where people will go after the war."Lust,Caution" as a script novel experiment is the novel with the most film elements in Eileen Chang's late novels."Little Reunion" is an experiment in a growth novel, which creates an unconventional and non-traditional "alternative" female image, marking the formation of Eileen Chang's late style. The third chapter discusses the formation of Eileen Chang's late style, centering on the text of "Little Reunion".The concept of "depoliticize" in Eileen Chang's late novels is metaphorically expressed in "Little Reunion" as "the vase in the window" is greater than the "mass scene outside the window." It seems that it is biased to completely abandon social consciousness;secondly,Eileen Chang in her later period In literary creation, she consciously deconstructed her self-mythology,breaking the reader's expectations.Eileen Chang 's late creation, from the narrator to autobiography, from nonpoliticization, politicization of positive and negative directions to depoliticization, from business-political writing(catering to the market/readers/politics)to returning to self-writing,behind her is her highly individualistic literary creation standpoint, and the presentation of a true taste of life.At the same time,Eileen Chang consciously avoided the cruel and struggling display of war,and created a series of unconventional and non-traditional "alternative" images. This makes the diversified narrative of history possible. To a certain extent,it also coincides with the development logic of literary exploration returning to the self ontology. It also means that Eileen Chang seeks to expand the purer female discourse space, and it also signifies another awakening and further strengthening of her female consciousness. This is also another effort made by Eileen Chang to widen the boundaries of the novel in her later period.
