Diane Arbus is a famous American photographer known in the history of photography for her unique photographs.Arbus has photographed many marginal people,and she uses her own lens to reveal a real world that is not well known.From the perspective of humanistic care,this paper conducts in-depth analysis and research on Arbus.The first part of this paper introduces the life of Arbus and her photography style and subject matter.She strives for authenticity and attaches importance to the relationship between the subject matter and the subjectIn the second part,the factors influencing Arbus's photography style are discussed.There are three factors that influence Arbus's photography style:One is the specific time background and cultural trend of thought.The economic depression that Arbus experienced in her childhood made her interested in marginalized people.The second is the unique family environment and emotional experience,Arbus's family,parents,husband and lovers all played a negative or positive role in her journey to photography on the margins.The third is the influence of Arbus's good teacher and helpful friend,Lisette Model,whose encouragement and support have made Arbus firmly on the path of photography of marginal peopleThe third part systematically explores and thinks about the visual expression of humanistic care in Arbus's photography,which explores and explains the connotation of humanistic care,and proceeds with the progressive explanation from the five levels of humanistic care.From fashion photography to street snapshot photography,Arbus began to pursue reality,which initially reflected the thought of humanistic care;Arbus shot the normal human abnormal side,completed the thinking of morality and human nature,and further explored the humanistic care;Arbus also photographed the normal side of abnormal people,she made friends with marginal people and tried to bring them into the public eye,and she advocated the equality and freedom of human beings and called for people to respect the marginalized people,which reflected the idea of respect and universal love;At the end of her career,Arbus entered a nursing home for idiots.In the process of shooting the people with low IQs,she pondered on the ultimate level of humanistic care,hoping that people can be simple and pure,return to their original selves and never forget their original intentionDiane Arbus combines photography with humanistic care,using her lens to speak up for marginalized people and call for human respect for marginal people,face the marginal people and let the marginal people no longer marginalized.Arbus' works contain profound humanistic thoughts.Her unique photography style and thought have important inspiration and significance to the photography field,which is worth the reflection and study of later generations.
