Western operas and Chinese national operas have undergone a hundred years of development,influenced by the local characteristic national culture and the people’s aesthetic concepts,forming different artistic styles and giving birth to different representative singing methods.Most of the subject matter in opera comes from life and is higher than life.Although Western opera and national opera have their own characteristics in terms of opera genre and singing style due to different regions and cultures,they have many similarities and similarities.This article summarizes the definition,history and development of Chinese and Western operas by consulting and sorting out the relevant literature materials of Chinese and Western operas,using "Ah! The sings of "My Tiger’s Brother"and the sings of "A Sunny Day" in the western opera "Madame Butterfly" are taken as examples to compare and analyze the singing styles of Chinese and Western operas,and propose the teaching methods of Chinese and Western operas.
