Mr.Wang Jianmin's Guzheng Concerto "Night for Maple Bridge" is a Guzheng music that combines traditional Chinese music and modern elements from the western culture.While retaining the traditional Guzheng timbre and charm,this piece uses ancient poem as its creative background,and incorporates musical forms such as Kun Opera,Suzhou folk songs,and silk and bamboo music.It also uses western musical elements such as concerto and piano in its creation,making the piece very distinctive in many ways.This thesis attempts to gain a deep understanding of the composer,background of the piece and the composing techniques through the research and study of relevant documents and video materials.At the same time,it analyzes the musical structure and the application of various elements,and finally achieves the purpose of understanding the emotional expression of the music and applying it to the performance.
