The "Belt and Road" proposal is proposed by China in the new era and is committed to creating a new pattern of all-round opening. It is a great deployment and vision. In recent years,we have not only faced the downward pressure of the world economy, but also the hostility and trade barriers set up by certain western countries.China needs to open up and expand new trade channels and trade routes, and develop and expand our trade partners and influence. The timely proposal of the "One Belt,One Road" initiative is an epoch-making idea. With the development of the world economy and the update of science and technology, the new economic division has gradually become clear. After the explosive development, traditional merchandise trade gets stabilized, while the advantages and importance of service trade have been gradually emerging.The.contribution rate has been increasing year after year, which has attracted the attention of all countries. It has become a new focus of competition among countries, and has become a major driving force for the continuous growth of our country’s economy.Compared with the traditional manufacturing industry, the service industry is more flexible and has lower requirements for factories, office space, equipment, etc.,lower dependence on natural resources such as minerals, and relatively higher energy efficiency. It is low-carbon,green and environmentally friendly. It’s in line with our country’s current needs of developing the national economy while protecting the green mountains. To develop the service industry vigorously has become an important choice for our country to encourage economic development, increase employment, and optimize industry and economic structure. At the same time,to encourage the development of service trade is also one of the important ways to strengthen our national economic strength, reduce the trade deficit to some extents, and change and enrich the development mode of foreign trade. The Silk Road in the past connected China and various countries along, spread the brilliant Chinese civilization, strengthened the economic and trade exchanges between China and foreign countries, and expanded the influence of the Chinese. The "Belt and Road" as its present life, will play a greater role.65 countries connected along the "Belt and Road" have different languages and customs, significant cultural differences, complex ethnic and religious issues, different industrial bases, and big differences in economic development. Therefore,it is of profound significance to explore and verify the key factors that affect service trade, and clarify the heterogeneity of the impact of cultural differences on service trade, and thus find way to promote the efficient and high-quality development of service trade between China and the countries along the "Belt and Road".This paper takes the "One Belt and One Road" initiative as the background, based on Hofstede’s six-dimensional theory, and draws on the calculation method of Kogut&Singh(1988)to construct the measurement indicators of cross-border cultural differences. It chooses the panel data of service exports from China to the countries along the "Belt and Road",introduces the trade gravity model and expands it to explore the impact of cultural differences on China’s service exports. The regression results show that cultural differences have a significant negative impact on the export of service trade between China and the countries along the "Belt and Road";further check the impact of cultural differences on trade sub-items,namely Other business services,Travel,Maintenance,Transport,Telecommunications, computers, information services and Manufacturing services, and the results show that cultural differences have a significant positive impact on tourism exports but a significant negative impact on the other five sub-items.Finally,combined with the research conclusions, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions on overcoming cultural differences, improving the quality of service trade, and promoting the export of service trade.
