The Eastern Han Dynasty was the period of formation and establishment of ancient Chinese scholarship.The prosperity of Confucianism will undoubtedly impress the scholars of the Eastern Han Dynasty with the stigma of Confucianism.The scholarly style of the Eastern Han Dynasty formed under the background of the ethics of governing the country,academic Confucianism,and Confucian ethics reflects the overall social outlook of the Eastern Han Dynasty to a large extent.The brilliant development of Confucianism affects the deep-seated value orientation of scholars,and the atmosphere of Confucianism also permeates all aspects of scholarship.On the political level,the Eastern Han literati's style of governance was highlighted by the promotion of Confucian education by upright officials in their positions.Upright officials assumed the dual roles of "little" and "teacher".They practiced and deepened the traditional Confucian ideology of governing the country.Promoting the education of Confucianism and the dissemination of Confucianism,the upright officials of the Eastern Han Dynasty set a good example for later officials.At the social level,the literati's moral integrity is a prominent historical and cultural phenomenon and a lasting and prominent trend of social thought in the Eastern Han Dynasty.The content of moral integrity mainly includes Confucian moral qualities such as filial piety,benevolence and righteousness,loyalty to the emperor,and valuing righteousness and despising wealth.moral integrity is actually maintaining moral integrity and attaching importance to virtue.In terms of style of study,the style of study in the early Eastern Han Dynasty was full of Confucianism.Scholars' study tour and Ming Jing became common practice.The style of study tour and Ming Jing in the late Eastern Han Dynasty showed the following trends: the style of study tour evolved into the style of friendship,and the wind of Ming Jing transformed into a trend of lightness.The Eastern Han ethics created by the participation of strong Confucianism has influenced the development of Confucianism to a certain extent.The prevalence of wealth and position among scholars in the Eastern Han Dynasty made Confucian filial piety become a mere formality because of wealth and position.Scholars adore fame and fame,and the phenomenon of disjointed name and reality is sideways.Some scholars are pretentious in order to gain fame and become hypocrites who seek fame and reputation.The style of seclusion diverts the lives and values ??of scholars,and some scholars turn to advocating Huang Lao Taoism and self-willing.Respecting the teacher and emphasizing the Tao will certainly enable the inheritance of the teachings,but to a large extent,the Confucian classics gradually become rigid and lose the source of living water.The scholarly style of the Eastern Han Dynasty is full of the Confucianism of entering the world,with a strong cultural color,showing a positive attitude of positive progress and striving.It is not only different from the style of travellers in the pre-Qin period,but also different from the style of inaction scholars in the Western Han Dynasty.It is characterized by advocating fame,being active,and respecting classics.While promoting and driving the gentle and refined style of the entire society,the Eastern Han Dynasty's scholarly style also led the family and family life in the Eastern Han Dynasty to pay attention to etiquette.The strength of character displayed by the scholars of the Eastern Han Dynasty under the influence of Confucianism had a profound impact on future generations.
