The source text is a research article named Trusting students' Voices in Critical English Education,which was published in Journal of Language and Literature Education Volume 15,issue 1 in the spring of 2019.This article examines students' experience about critical English education through interviews in order to promote educational equality.This translation report consists of five parts: task description,pre-translation preparation,translation implementation,case analysis and summary and reflection.The vocabulary in this source text is precise and accurate,so translator adopts amplification,conversion and contextual analysis methods to deal with vocabulary translation.The students interviews is through the whole text,so translator pays attention to the direct speech,adopts the methods of adjusting reporting speech and supplying speech information.In order to ensure discourse coherence,the translator selects omission,the original words reproduction and substitution to cope with anaphora.Finally,author hopes to provide references for the translation of the similar texts through this report in the future.
