In the context of 21 st century,organizations are affected by the rapidly changing environment,and the employee engagement is increasingly important to the organizations’ sustainable development.In this translation practice report,the material is selected from Employee Engagement in Contemporary Organizations,which systematically expounds the influences of the sociology of work and organizational structure on employee engagement.Case studies are carried out from the three levels of vocabulary,sentence structures and discourse.The translation at the lexical level adopts the methods of professional vocabulary annotation,part-of-speech conversion and word meaning selection,so as to make the translation not only conform to the Chinese habit of expression,but also faithfully convey the original content.At the level of sentence structures,the logical analysis of parallel sentence structures is carried out to ensure that the version accurately conveys the meaning of the original text.And at the level of discourse,the methods of retaining its original form,repeating the antecedents and omitting its original form are adopted for the translation of anaphora.It is hoped that this translation practice can arouse the attention of the domestic organizations to the employee engagement.And at the same time,it will be helpful to the research and practice of management literature translation. |
