Since school music,the establishment of Chinese school music education system has been centered on European music,using Western music knowledge system,performance concept,values and aesthetic habits as the standards,to explain the Chinese culture and ethnic music around the world to the students.Experts in the early1980 s proposed the construction of the system of “Chinese culture as the mother tongue of music education”,and emphasized the “humanity” of music education in the 21 st century music curriculum standards,and then they proposed the basic curriculum idea of “promoting national music and understanding music cultural diversity".However,in the compilation of teaching materials,the understanding of "Chinese culture as mother tongue of music education" is still limited to the problem of the number of Chinese traditional music,and lacks the presentation of Chinese music theory system and Chinese traditional music thinking,philosophy and culture.This thesis adopts literature analysis and statistical methods to deeply understand the connotation of “Chinese culture as the mother tongue of music education" and the characteristics of mother tongue culture,and explore the relationships between Chinese culture and school music education.Based on the perspective of "Chinese culture as the mother tongue in music education",the author explores the features and limitations of the junior middle school music textbooks published by Jiangsu Children's Press in 2012,and then the author proposes the principles,contents and suggestions of music textbook construction from the perspective of "Chinese culture as mother tongue for music education".Through research,the author believes that the proposal of "Chinese culture as the mother tongue of music education" is a reflection of the gains and losses of Chinese music education in the 20 th century.The establishment of a Chinese music education system based on Chinese culture in the twenty-first Century is an urgent call for school music education.At present,school music education centered on European music,it will inevitably face difficulties and challenges to achieve this goal.However,the establishment of Chinese mother tongue music education system is of great significance to the inheritance of ethnic culture and it should be maintained.Textbook,as the basic basis for teaching,have their advantages and disadvantages.Music teachers shouldmake use of teaching materials according to actual conditions so that textbooks become learning materials for students,rather than a template for music class.In the 21 st century,economic globalization and multicultural development have become the mainstream.In the school music education,the emphasis on "Chinese culture as the mother tongue of music education" is to disseminate the glory that belongs to China in the pluralistic world cultural stage,rather than populism;the goal of "Chinese culture as the mother tongue of music education" is to establish a music curriculum system that truly reflects the characteristics of Chinese music,guide students to explore the significance and value of Chinese culture,cultivate students' sense of belonging and identity,and rebuild their national culture and self-confidence.It will lay a foundation for students to love life forever and learn Chinese culture so that students can seek opportunities and meet challenges in the world.
