Research On The Generation System Of Heaven And Earth In "Tianwen"

The first chapter of Asking Heaven discusses the formation of the universe,the structure of heaven and earth,and the movement of the sun,moon and stars,which reflects Chu's understanding of the earth and cosmos.It can be regarded as an important part of its knowledge system.Although previous scholars have many comments on this issue,they lack systematic textual research.Based on other ancient books and records in the pre-Qin,this paper restores its theoretical structure.Firstly,the paper mainly discusses the Chu people's cognition of the creation about universe,from myth and philosophy perspective.There are many creation myths in Wen.By analyzing myths recorded in Shan Hai Jing and Huai Nan Zi,clears up the evolution of the creation myth.Then talks about the relationship of the Chu's myth system and others.Represented by Taoist,pre-Qin philosophers' philosophical reflections on the formation of universe influenced Chu's cosmology.In combination with the unearthed documents such as Tai Yi Sheng Shui and Heng Xian,the differences of universe generation system can be clarified,and the chaos state can be discussed.Secondly,starting from three aspects of heaven's structure,earth's structure and the relationship of two,the paper mainly explores the preliminary cognition of ancestors,analyzes Qu Yuan's cognition of Jiu Chong which formed under the influence of the theory of canopy heavens.Then investigates Jiu Tian,Jiu Zhou and early ideas of interfluve,and distinguishes the intersection of heaven and earth.By the way,points out its relationship with Da Jiu Zhou.Finally,from myth,etiquette and folk custom perspective,the paper mainly discusses the operation of the sun,moon and stars,analyzes the concept of Shi Er which involving days,months and stars.It's related to the position in charge of the sun.Then,this paper focuses on the knowledge system and myth expression of the trajectory of the sun and the evolution of the things in the moon.The transformation from star worship to folk belief is related to social consensus in Han dynasty.In addition,the paper explains the star concept and social cognition.Based on ancient books and records in the pre-Qin,this paper examines the formation of the universe,the structure of heaven and earth,and the movement of the sun,moon and stars,restores the knowledge system in Asking Heaven.It will be great helpful to understand the significance of Asking Heaven to academic history from a deeper and broader perspective.
