Abstract:The worship of heaven and earth is the highest form of sacrifice ceremony in feudal ages, and the importance of the worship literature is beyond doubt. However, about the various literature works on the worship of heaven and earth, researchers care little. As a result, on the basis of analysis of a great deal of literary documents, the writer tries to study all the literature of worship of heaven and earth in the history wholly and systematically from aspects of literary forms, literary contents, and the art characteristics, to gain a better reading and explanation of the worship of heaven and earth.The literature of the worship of heaven and earth covers ten varieties of literary forms: stele inscription, edict, memorial and disquisition, question and answer, jade certificate, jade volume, poetic exposition, poetry, discourse and exposition, elegiac essay, phrase, tour record, and hymn. After giving a general description of each literary form, the first chapter of the thesis is to do a simple analysis and combing of the worship literary works according to the different literary forms and reveals the importance of the worship of heaven and earth in ancient political lives through the abundance of categories.Chapter Two lays particular emphasis on the beginning and the history of the worship of heaven and earth, the thought foundation, rites and music, arrangements, and the realistic effect to elaborate the contents and thought of the worship literature. Through the reflection of the worship of heaven and earth on the literature, the writer tries to bring back contemporary worship ceremonies to know literary men's recognition and comments on the worship of heaven and earth.
