Poetry Writing Of "Taizong Story" In Tang Dynasty

Emperor Taizong(Li Shimin),who was the second emperor of the Tang Dynasty,not only made great achievements in the process of establishing and unifying the country in Tang Dynasty,but also created a prosperous "rule of chastity" and laid a solid foundation for the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty.After the death of Taizong,the merit and spirit he left had a profound influence,which also became a model for the later emperor and their politics.The literati respired from reality,pondering Taizong's dedication,and writing stories,ancestors,and ancient places related to Taizong in poetry,calling for the sensible Emperor and fair politics.The article is divided into three parts to study the poem writing of "Tai Zong Story" in Tang Dynasty:The first chapter analyzes the subject matter and imagery of the "Tai Zong story"written by Tang poems,which mainly includes five aspects:Tai Zong's martial arts,culture and morality,monarch and minister,rule of virtue and something about Zhaoling.In these poems,the literati recalled the events,figures and relics in the history,which related to Taizong,learning the past to benefit the present,experiencing the rise and fall of history,and expressing sorrow and so on.The second chapter analyzes the staged characteristics of "Taizong story" in Tang poetry.After,"Reign of Zhenguan" in the early Tang,the "Taizong story" written by poets mainly praise two aspects.They are the virtue in the Ordered Poems and the persuading in the Exhortation Poems.The poets of the prosperous Tang Dynasty wrote the story of Taizong,which were bounded by the chaos of Anshi,which could be divided into the early writing and the later writing.The early Tang Dynasty was peaceful and prosperous,so in the early Tang,poet recalled the story of Taizong,or praised the monarch for inheriting the work of his ancestors or make good efforts.Or they learned from the past and showed concern for the safety of the country and the livelihood of people.In the late Tang Dynasty,when the mountains and rivers were broken,the peaceful and prosperous times created by the ancestors became the object of the memory of the Tang people.Although the poet lamented the political gloom of the dynasty,he still had full loyalty and hope for the emperor,eager to get rid of the malpractices and Zhongxing Tang Dynasty.The poets of the middle Tang Dynasty wrote the story of "Taizong" consisted of three aspects.one is the feeling of circumstances transformation and the ancestors' achievements could not be restored;the other is to recall the past and satire the current affairs;the third is to ponder the past and have a sorrow felling about the present,sighing the missing about meeting a visionary person.The late Tang Dynasty poet wrote "Taizong story",which was no longer the early prosperous Tang Dynasty positive enterprising mentality,showing contempt for fame and strong sentimental atmosphere.The third chapter explores the reasons why the Tang people called for the "Tai Zong story":The first is the construction of Taizong's image in the process of historical revision;the second is the influence of ancestral worshiping tradition,and the third is the difference between realistic government and ideal politics.As the shaping of Taizong on purpose and the official history books' processing,Taizong became a model monarch and governance model.The people in Tang Dynasty was deeply influenced by ancestor,who was in praise of the tradition and the filial piety.Taizong,the ancestor of Saint-Ming,was highly respected by them.The literati feel the difference between the real government and the ideal politics recalling the story of Taizong.In these poems,Tang Taizong exists as the spiritual sustenance of the literati and becomes their weapon to criticize corrupt politics and the spiritual symbol,for calling for the emperor of Saint Ming.
