The Artistic Features And Singing Analysis Of The Musical "True Love Never Dies"

Musical is an opera genre originated from England in the late 19th century.It is a theatrical form performed by dialogue and singing.It combines drama,music and song and dance.and is a comprehensive art form.In the 1980 s,the musical "the sound of music" in the form of a movie for the first time appeared in front of the Chinese,for Chinese people to see a new art form,left a very deep impression,then more and more classics was introduced into China,such as les miserables "cat" phantom of the opera and so on,even today is still in our heart the eternal classic,shaking up the audience.Among them,British composer Andrew Lloyd webber’s bel canto musical "the phantom of the opera" has captured a number of audiences with its beautiful melody and touching story,which is regarded as one of the most successful musicals in history.On March 9,2010 in London at adelphi musical "true love ends" is by Andrew Lloyd webber,a style of bel canto musical creation,weber is planned for 10 years in the sequel to the phantom of the opera musical works,the stage play after seven Olivia awards nominations,by Charles-spencer points newspaper called "deserves to Lloyd webber’s great masterpiece".Several beautiful lyrics in the play also can’t help but make us sigh weber’s genius creation again,analyze the main lyrics in the play,and through the analysis and summary of it summed up the "true love never die" lyrics of artistic characteristics and singing characteristics,can better help us to sing musical works.This paper starts from the analysis of the main choruses of the musical True Love Never Dies,analyzes the artistic characteristics and singing characteristics of the main choruses of the musical True Love Never Dies through the analysis of examples,combining with my own profession and my own musical knowledge reserve.The first chapter of this paper mainly introduces the background,research status,research significance and research methods of the topic of the musical drama True Love Never Dies.The second chapter mainly introduces the composer weber’s life,the story of the play and the main characters.The third chapter of this paper analyzes the musical characteristics of the main lyrics in True Love Never Dies.The last chapter,on the basis of combining the third chapter,analyzes the singing of the main lyrics of the musical,and discusses the singing characteristics of the musical True Love Never Dies on the basis of combining the previous studies and their own singing.Through the analysis of the musical True Love Never Dies the majority of musical lovers can better appreciate and understand weber’s musical.For vocal music learners,we hope to better understand the singing characteristics of this musical from a theoretical perspective and broaden our vocal singing road.
