Research On Fu Tongxian's Religious And Philosophical Thought

Foo Thoong-sien is a well-known educator,philosopher and Islamic scholar in China.Not only does he have a high level of accomplishment in the field of pedagogy,but his research in religion and philosophy is also worthy of analysis and discussion.He made important contributions to the study of Islam in China during the Republic of China,which is worthy of further exploration and research.In addition to the introduction,this article mainly studies Foo Thoong-sien’s religious and philosophical thoughts from three aspects.First,Foo Thoong-sien’s life and social background.In terms of social background,Foo Thoong-sien’s religious and philosophical works were mainly written during the Republic of China.Therefore,this article focuses on the study of the development of ethnic minorities and cultural development during the Republic of China.In terms of life,the author consulted and compared the expressions of Foo Thoong-sien’s life by previous scholars,reorganized them,and corrected the errors.Second,Foo Thoong-sien’s outlook on religion.In Foo Thoong-sien’s writings on religion,there are not only the understanding of Allah,but also the understanding of the western god and the understanding of the Thusness Buddhistm.In Foo Thoong-sien’s writings on religion,there are not only the understanding of Allah,but also the understanding of God and the understanding of Thusness.And from the perspective of Foo Thoong-sien,although the three terms are called differently,all the content mentioned refers to Allah.Therefore,we first explore the understanding of Allah in Islam by Foo Thoong-sien,including the understanding of the substance and attributes of Allah,how to understand the existence of Allah,and why Allah is needed.Second,it discusses how Foo Thoong-sien proved the existence of God with western philosophy.Thirdly,it discusses Foo Thoong-sien’s understanding of Buddhism,and his refutation of that Tai Xu and Tang Dayuan’s misunderstanding of Allah.Third,Foo Thoong-sien’s philosophical thoughts mainly include Epistemology,view of cosmos and so on.In terms of epistemology,Foo Thoong-sien discussed the source of knowledge,the process of knowledge,and the existence of truth.He believes that knowledge comes from the universal mind,that knowledge is an organized,hierarchical organic system,and truth is the universal mind.In terms of the view of the universe,Foo Thoong-sien believed that the universe is the manifestation of the universal mind.The universe is composed of countless realities.The development of the universe is a process.In addition,Foo Thoong-sien also refuted Fung Yulan’s philosophy and dialectical materialist philosophy.In short,the study of Foo Thoong-sien’s thought in this article fills a gap in the academic world.It provided useful resources for the further study of Foo Thoong-sien’s thought and laid a solid foundation.
