ObjectiveBased on the theory of governing the paralysis take Yang Ming, this study discusses the rehabilitation effect of low-frequency electrical acupoint stimulation on the patients with foot prolapse after stroke, providing theoretical basis and practical guidance for the improvement of foot prolapse symptoms of patients with stroke in the future, and providing a program with clinical value for the effective rehabilitation of such people.MethodsIn this study,70 patients with poststroke foot prolapse who had undergone rehabilitation treatment in the rehabilitation room of the neurology department of the second affiliated hospital of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2018 to November 2019 and met the inclusion criteria were selected.IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 was used to randomly group them, namely the control group and the intervention group, with 35 patients in each group. Both groups of patients were given routine treatment and nursing care in the department of neurology according to the doctor's advice. The control group received routine rehabilitation training based on exercise therapy, and the intervention group received low-frequency electrical acupoint electrical stimulation on the basis of the control group. All patients received rehabilitation treatment once a day,6 times a week, and 4 weeks of continuous intervention.Ankel range of motion(AROM),Fugl-Meyer motor assessment-lower extyemity(FMA-LE),Tinetti performance oriented mobility assessment(POMA)and Barthel index(BI)were used to evaluate the efficacy before and after 4 weeks of intervention.IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 was used for statistical analysis of the above indicators.ResultsDuring the intervention period of this study,2 cases were shed and 1 case was removed, and finally 67 patients completed the study. There were 33 cases in the control group and 34 cases in the intervention group. There were no statistically significant differences in the sociodemographic data, clinical information, lifestyle data,AROM,FMA-LE,Tinetti performance mobility assessment-balance(POMA-B),POMA and BI of the patients before the intervention(P>0.05),which were comparable.1.AROM:After 4 weeks of intervention,AROM increased in both the control group and the intervention group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.001).AROM in the intervention group was better than that in the control group, and the intergroup comparison was statistically significant(P<0.001).2.FMA-LE:After 4 weeks of intervention,FMA-LE improved in both the control group and the intervention group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.001).The score of the intervention group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.001).3.POMA-B:After 4 weeks of intervention,POMA-B increased in both the control group and the intervention group, and the balance function of patients in both groups improved, with statistically significant intra-group comparison(P<0.001).Compared with the control group, the intervention group was better than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).4.POMA:After 4 weeks of intervention,POMA improved in both the control group and the intervention group, and the intra-group comparison was statistically significant(P<0.001).The score of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).5.BI:After 4 weeks of intervention, both the control group and the intervention group BI increased, and the daily living ability of the patients in both groups improved, with statistically significant intra-group comparison(P<0.001).Compared with the control group, the intervention group was better than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusions1.The low-frequency electrical acupoint stimulation based on the theory of governing the paralysis take Yang Ming can effectively increase the AROM in patients with foot prolapse after stroke, improve the lower limb motor function, and improve the ability to take care of oneself in daily life.2.The low-frequency electrical acupoint stimulation based on the theory of governing the paralysis take Yang Ming can effectively improve the balance function and reduce the risk of falling in patients with poststroke foot prolapse.
