Study On The Correlation Between TCM Constitution Types And Endoscopic Images And Pathological Grades In Patients With Ulcerative Colitis

Purpose:To analyzed the characteristics of constitutional distribution of patients with ulcerative colitis by using the constitutional classification determination criteria of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),In addition,we analyzed the characteristics of constitutional distribution in patients with ulcerative colitis,and to observe the association between the constitution of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and the endoscopic image of ulcerative colitis as well as the histopathological grade,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of difficile in ulcerative colitis.Material and method: A total of 82 patients who were admitted and diagnosed with ulcerative colitis between October 1,2018 and December 31,2020 to the Department of splenic Gastroenterology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Chinese medicine,and endoscopy,Northern War Zone General Hospital were included.The general data of patients were collected,such as age and sex,etc.;according to the TCM physical classification and determination form,the constitution of traditional Chinese medicine of patients was judged and recorded;the statistical patients' intestinal images and histopathological manifestations were recorded,and their histopathological grades were determined.Spss25.0 statistical software was used to establish the database of this study to analyze the distribution law of constitution of traditional Chinese medicine in patients,as well as the relationship between constitution of traditional Chinese medicine and endoscopic image and histopathological grade of ulcerative colitis.Results:1.For general data,the male to female ratio was 1.42:1,and the mean age was 43.45 ± 10.21,with a predominance of young people aged 21-40 years.UC is a chronic relapsing disease with a disease duration of 1-5 years.2.In TCM Constitution,the order of body type is as follows: Wet-heat type > Qi-deficiency type > Yang-deficiency type > Qi-depression type > phlegm-wetness type > Gentleness type = blood-stasis type > Yin-deficiency type > Special diathesis type.3.In terms of colonoscopic and histopathological findings,the extent of the disease was most in E1(involving the rectum),followed by E2(involving the left colon),E3(involving the extensive colon),and the extent of the disease was most in moderately active,followed by mildly active,severely active,and clinically remitting patients;The color of intestinal mucosa was bright red and dark red,the microscopic manifestations during the active phase were mucosal edema and congestion,mucosal erosions were more common,and the histopathological grade was II and III more common.4.There was a statistically significant(P < 0.05)correlation between the Constitution of TCM and disease activity,color and color of intestinal mucosa,appearance of intestinal mucosa under colonoscopy,and histopathological grade in patients with UC.Conclusion:1.The TCM constitution types of UC patients in this study are mainly Wet-heat type,Qi-deficiency type and Yang-deficiency type.2.There is a correlation between Constitution of TCM and disease activity degree,color of intestinal mucosa,appearance of intestinal mucosa under colonoscopy,and histopathological grade in UC patients.
