Objective:The purpose of this project is to observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of Sanjiao acupuncture in the treatment of elderly patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type, and to explore the clinical promotion and application value of this method. Methods:In this study,60 cases of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia(BPH)patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with three-focal acupuncture, while the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture for 7 consecutive times and then continued treatment after a day’s rest, for 14 times in total. Before and after treatment, three main indexes including International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),Quality of Life Score(QOL)and TCM syndrome Score were used to evaluate the changes of patients’ conditions; After 1 month, patients in the two groups were followed up to observe the disease recurrence and understand the long-term efficacy.SPSS24.0statistical software was used to analyze the data.Results:(1)Before treatment:There was no statistical significance in the comparison of IPSS scoring scale,TCM syndrome scoring scale and QOL score between 2 groups(P>0.05).(2)After treatment:IPSS score,TCM syndrome score and QOL score decreased in both groups, with statistical significance(P<0.05);The comprehensive efficacy evaluation showed that the effective rate of the observation group was86.7%and that of the control group was 63.3%.There was statistical significance in the improvement of nocturia and dysphoria symptoms of IPSS(P < 0.05),while there was no statistical significance in the improvement of dysphoria, urine again after urination, urination interruption, dysphoria and dysphoria(P > 0.05).In terms of TCM symptoms, there was statistically significant difference in the improvement of nocturia, oligoparachnia and fatigue symptoms(P < 0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference in the improvement of dysphoria, lumbar and knee acid and soft, and urine thinness(P > 0.05).(3)After treatment,IPSS score and TCM syndrome score in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05),while there was no statistical significance in QOL score(P>0.05).(4)After 1 month follow-up,the recurrence rate was 10%in the observation group and 33.3%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both Sanjiao acupuncture and conventional acupuncture are are effective in treating BPH of the old adrenal hemorrhoid type.2.The clinical efficacy of Sanjiao acupuncture in treating BPH in old age is better than that of conventional acupuncture, and the therapeutic effect is significant in improving night urine, abdominal symptoms, fatigueand Weak urine.3.The recurrence rate of Sanjiao acupuncture is low.
