With the rapid development of modern society,the number of urban motor vehicles increases rapidly,and the limited road resources make the problem of urban traffic congestion more and more serious.Traditional traffic control methods can not meet the multiple needs of traffic,so guaranteeing the smooth and safe operation of the traffic network has become a new research focus in the control field.The rise of intelligent transportation technology provides a scientific solution to the problem of transportation technology.This paper adopts adaptive control technology,combining the coordinated control of traffic network resources with the fuzzy algorithm.The traffic data information through the radar detection are obtained,and the traffic signal control strategy that adapts to the traffic environment are formulated.This paper mainly focuses on the traffic signal system at intersections.At first,the research background and significance of this paper are explained,and then the basic theory of intersection control is introduced.The mainstream characteristics and shortcomings of traffic signal control system are analyzed.The components and functional applications of current traffic control system are introduced.Secondly,due to the randomness and complexity of traffic flow,it is hard to establish an accurate mathematical model.Therefore,fuzzy control theory are introduced and the optimal timing algorithm of single point intersection with multi-objective multi-phase control is proposed.Taking the four-phase control as example,the number of vehicles in queue is cited as the fuzzy control variable.The green light delay time of the current phase is adjusted by means of fuzzy control reasoning and the average delay time of the vehicle is used as the evaluation index of the control result.At the same time,compared with the traditional timing control,it can be concluded that the fuzzy algorithm plays a better role in reducing vehicle delay and queue length.Finally,based on the fixed phase sequence fuzzy control,the adaptive phase sequence fuzzy control algorithm is proposed.The trend concept is defined,and the phase is recombined.The static phase release mode and trend elimination release rules are designed.The release phase and release duration are independently and efficiently selected according to the actual requirements of the intersection,which improve the utilization rate of the lane and the efficiency of green light release.Compared with the fixed phase sequence fuzzy control,it is concluded that the two algorithms have the same effect on the average delay level.However,in the long run,the variable phase sequence of fuzzy adaptive control has a better advantage in reducing the maximum queue length.
