With the rapid development of economy,automobile has gradually become one of the necessary means of transportation for people to travel.Since 1886,Karl Benz made the first three wheeled car in the world,automobile manufacturing has a history of more than 100 years.In the past 100 years,the car has not only to meet the travel needs,but also to provide a comfortable driving environment and a pleasant appearance.This puts forward a very high requirement for automobile styling design.Automobile styling design is a very important step in automobile production,and also one of the keys to the birth of new models.China's automobile industry has a short history,and it has not yet formed its own automobile culture,and its automobile design has not formed a prominent brand feature,so it is often at a disadvantage in the competition with foreign automobile enterprises.Chinese car companies need to focus on car styling design.In the process of automobile design,people from all aspects need to design,review,modify and verify repeatedly.This is a long process,in which designers and digital modelers play an important role;their cooperation has completed the transformation of automobile from 2D sketch to 3D model,which is the most important part in automobile design.Therefore,how to efficiently complete the transformation from 2D sketch to 3D model is the focus of this paper.Based on the perspective of designers and digital modelers,this paper studies how to efficiently complete the transformation from 2D sketch to 3D model.First of all,the article uses the literature analysis method,from the three aspects of volume,shape and engineering factors,specifically analyzes their influence on the car styling design,and successively summarizes the distinguishing methods of volume;lists the important feature lines and feature planes;expounds the Audi brand gene;and explains the influence of Engineering factors.Then,the paper decomposes the process of automobile modeling design,and analyzes the problems in the process of cooperation between designers and digital modelers from the modeling exploration stage,modeling in-depth stage and modeling output stage.Through the interview between the designer and the digital modeler,this paper summarizes the problems existing in each process,and provides the corresponding solutions combined with specific cases.Finally,through the observation and analysis of 20 popular B-class cars in the market,it is found that there are some similarities among the similar models of various brands.Taking Bclass car as an example,this paper summarizes the general reference model of B-class car,and then integrates the corresponding car brand gene to establish the corresponding brand B-class car mapping model.The mapping model proposed in this paper is a concrete three-dimensional model,not a two-dimensional and three-dimensional corresponding relationship model.The author thinks that only when a concrete model is proposed,can designers and digital stylists communicate with each other and improve the modeling efficiency.Through the design practice,the effectiveness of the mapping model is proved;in addition,the basic countermeasures to improve the cooperation efficiency between designers and digital modelers are also formed.
