In 2019,a sudden outbreak of COVID-19 broke out around the world.In order to contain the spread of the epidemic,almost all countries and regions in the world have taken various measures to reduce the gathering of people and control the flow of people,which directly led to a sharp reduction in people's travel activities.The decline in passenger load rate,sharp drop in operating revenue and tight cash flow are common problems faced by all airlines.How to transform and adjust to the current situation is an urgent problem to be solved.?It is not difficult to see from the annual reports of aviation enterprises in 2020 that most airlines,including the four state-owned airlines,are in a loss in 2020,and only China Airlines achieved a profit of 612.89 million yuan.Compared with other large airlines,China Airlines,with a fleet size of only 48 aircraft,became the only airline that made a profit three months after the epidemic.Therefore,it is necessary to study the financial performance of China Airlines.By comparing several commonly used performance analysis methods,this paper chooses traditional financial index analysis method,Du Pont analysis,economic value added and non-financial index analysis combined with their advantages and disadvantages.According to the principle of financial data selection,appropriate financial index and non-financial index are selected for comprehensive performance analysis.By studying The financial performance,profit reasons and strategic advantages of China Airlines,it aims to put forward a universal development strategy for China Airlines and the entire air transport industry to co-exist with the epidemic in the future.This paper has certain reference significance for aviation enterprises in how to recover their vitality as soon as possible,alleviate the impact of the epidemic on aviation enterprises,how to coexist pidemic.
