Abstract/Summary:
Shear wall is generally used in frame structure, frame shear wall structure and shear wall structure. As the main construction of resistance to horizontal force, shear wall plays an important role in the whole system. In order to improve the performance of concrete shear wall in the area of over compression and under the condition of insufficient axial restraint, the theory of regional confined concrete is applied to control the strength of concrete shear wall.Based on the tests of three ordinary shear wall specimens and three regional confined concrete shear wall specimens under low cyclic loading, the finite element model was established by ABAQUS software for nonlinear analysis. The effects of restraint strength on the failure characteristics, bearing capacity, hysteretic characteristics, energy consumption, ductility, stiffness and attenuation process of shear walls under different axial compression ratios are studied. The research results show that the performance of regional confined concrete shear wall is better than that of normal concrete shear wall: the bearing capacity, energy dissipation capacity, ductility and overall stiffness of regional confined concrete shear wall are better than those of ordinary concrete shear wall. The variation of the shear wall with the axial compression ratio has the following characteristics:Failure mode: the crack development range of shear wall increases with the increase of restraint strength;Bearing capacity: the bearing capacity of shear wall increases with the increase of restraint strength, but the increase proportion decreases with the increase of axial compression ratio;Energy dissipation capacity: The energy dissipation capacity of shear walls increases with the increase of restraint strength.Under certain restraint conditions, the energy dissipation capacity of shear walls decreases with the increase of axial compression ratio;Ductility: The ductility of shear wall increases with the increase of restraint strength.Under certain restraint conditions, the ductility of shear wall decreases with the increase of axial compression ratio; In general, the seismic performance of regional confined concrete shear wall is better than that of normal shear wall, and the results can provide reference for its promotion and engineering application.
