With the development of China’s military force and weapons technology,military vehicles with the higher explosion protection performance are required.And the doors are the main parts of a vehicle’s side structure,which are the keys of vehicle’s side explosion protection.In this paper,a military vehicle is taken as the research object to analyze its side explosion protection performance,and the door structure is modified and optimized to improve the vehicle’s performance.At first,the finite element model was built to simulate the blast at the vehicle side,to analysis the responses of the vehicle structure and the passenger under different boundary,to research the condition of the door’s damage and the passenger’s injury,to find the relationship between the blast boundary and the responses of the doors & passenger,and to select one boundary to do the next research.The second,the NPR honeycomb sandwich structure was used to equivalent the composite door to analysis the explosion poof performance of the sandwich structure.And studies were done to analysis the effects of NPR honeycomb core’s structure paraments on the sandwich structure’s performance,including the cell length,cell height,cell angle,cell thickness and thickness gradient.The next,optimization was done to obtain a core structure with good explosion protection performance.At last,the optimized core structure was used on the vehicle’s doors,and another optimization of the doors was done to improve the vehicle’s explosion protection performance,reduce the passenger’s injure under side explosion shock.
