Research On Financial Strategy Based On The Cultivation Of Core Competencies

With the continuous advancement of economic development and globalization,competition in various industries has become increasingly fierce.Enterprises need to review the current situation and gain competitive preponderances in the market in order to achieve substantial progress and development.Competitive preponderances mainly come from the core competence of the enterprise.Core competence is an important driving force for the survival and development of an enterprise,and it can affect the strategic decision-making,development prospects,depth and breadth of the enterprise.Companies should aim at cultivating core capabilities,give full play to the role of financial strategies in building capabilities,formulate and implement relevant financial strategies to achieve value added and sustainable development of the company.In this paper,COSCO SHIPPING Energy,the delegate enterprise of shipping industry,is designated as my dissertation target.This paper studies the whole process of cultivating core competence of the case company from the perspective of financial strategy.First of all,this article uses the SWOT model to analyze the background of COSCO SHIPPING Energy's cultivation of core capabilities,clarify the goals of core capabilities,and explore the guiding role of core capabilities on financial strategy.Secondly,the thesis studies the role of financial strategy in the construction of corporate core capabilities from the four links of financial strategy,investment,financing,operation and distribution.Finally,through the the Balanced Scorecard,it analyzes the short-term effect of the core capabilities cultivated by COSCO SHIPPING Energy through the financial strategy,and discovers the problems faced by the enterprise in the development of the company,and proposes corresponding reasonable suggestions.It is expected to provide reference value and reference significance for more companies to build financial strategies to cultivate core capabilities.Outstanding core capabilities can help companies obtain greater benefits in market competition.The study found that COSCO SHIPPING Energy's financial strategy based on cultivating core capabilities has certain effects in the short term.The company's fleet size has been optimized and the industry positioning has become clearer.However,due to factors such as the shipping industry and the external macro environment,the profitability level is relatively unstable.It is a long-term process for enterprises to cultivate core competence.In this process,there may be related problems caused by business concentration and other situations,which need to be cultivated and improved.The analysis in this article can provide reference for other relevant case analysis,and at the same time provide an empirical basis for the cultivation of core capabilities of listed companies in China.
