Application Research Of Installation Art In Urban Public Space Design

With the rapid development of modern social economy,people’s material living standard has been gradually improved,and they have higher requirements for the quality of life.With the continuous improvement of spiritual and cultural literacy,people’s demand for urban public space is not only satisfied with appreciation,but also a place to release pressure and carry out aesthetic activities.Nowadays,most urban public space models serve the requirements of spatial functions,and the design layout tends to be standardized and patterned,lacking some appeal to the public.The future development of public space landscape design should not be isolated and one-sided,but should constantly absorb the excellent achievements of other disciplines.Develop themselves so as to better serve the society.Installation art,a new and unique public art form,has been paid more and more attention since it was put forward in the 1960 s.Its unique way of exhibition expresses the ideological and cultural connotation of opposing traditional restraint and formalism.In just a few decades,installation art has gone from not being understood at the beginning to being widely accepted by the public.By integrating the avant-garde creation concept of installation art into the design of modern urban public space,it can bring new visual feelings to the life of urban residents and create an attractive and infectious atmosphere space.This paper focuses on the feasibility analysis and specific application of installation art in urban public space design under the background of the new economic era.Combined with the relevant concepts of installation art and urban public space design theory,it analyzes the cases of installation art in different types of urban public space design at home and abroad,and summarizes the characteristics of installation art in six kinds of modern urban public space design-space compatibility,artistry,functionality,interactivity,contemporaneity and regional culture;four methods of integrating installation art into urban public space design are proposed:integrating art installation into overall planning and design of public space,integrating installation art with landscape facilities,integrating installation art with regionalculture,connecting architecture and landscape with installation art.Finally,it analyzes the application of installation art in four different types of urban public space design:urban square,public green space,Traffic Street and waterfront space.In the future,how to integrate the artistic elements into the design of urban public space is of great significance to improve the city’s appearance,create a beautiful square landscape and enhance the image of the city.
