A droplet is a small liquid space partially or surrounded by an accessible interface.Its flexibility and independence have been widely used in many fields,including industry,agriculture,chemical engineering,and recent biomedical fields.Especially in biomedicine,droplets can be used as small bioreactors for diagnosis and drug screening.Liquid marbles are a special kind of droplet,which are droplets wrapped by hydrophobic powder.When on the solid wall or liquid surface,there will be an air cushion between it and the factual matrix or liquid surface,which prevents the contact of the inner and outer liquid.Based on these characteristics,liquid marbles have great potential for developing pharmaceutical,medical,chemical,and still water purification.In this work,this paper proposes a way of using gravity to manipulate liquid marbles to achieve interaction with liquid droplets on a solid plane.This interaction process can be regarded as the liquid marble movement on the concrete wall and the liquid surface.To qualitatively analyze this process,on the one hand,this paper established a dynamic model of the direction of a water-based liquid marble on an inclined surface.It verified that the movement of a low-viscosity liquid marble,a ferrofluid marble,on a solid wall does not comply with viscous dissipation.Law.Introduce the magnetic field,establish the dynamic model of the ferrofluid marble on the concrete plane under the magnetic field's action,and build an experimental system to verify and analyze the cause of the error.On the other hand,this paper also demonstrates the liquid marble's static equilibrium equation on the liquid surface,qualitatively analyzes the critical volume of the liquid marble on the liquid surface and establishes the liquid marble on the liquid surface under the action of a magnetic field.Dynamic model,use a high-speed camera to visualize the process,verify the established speed prediction formula,and analyze the error reasons.Moreover,use the single-chip microcomputer to control the opening and closing of the magnetic field to control the liquid marble's reciprocating movement on the liquid surface.The process is analyzed and discussed,the energy loss equation of this process is established,and the energy loss and the liquid marble have quantitatively analyzed the relationship between volume.This paper finally establishes a dynamic model of the interaction between liquid marbles and droplets and uses high-speed cameras to visualize the process based on the above two aspects.Liquid marbles climbing droplets can be roughly divided into three stages.In these three processes,gravity plays the role of resistance and power,respectively.Simultaneously,the process of the liquid marble climbing the droplet is mainly affected by the resistance of the contact angle change.There is also a critical climbing angle in the process of interaction between the liquid marble and the droplet,which is approximately 7°.This paper uses image processing methods to calculate the experimental speed during the interaction between the liquid marble and the droplet and compares it with the theoretical velocity to verify the established dynamic model.This work provides a theoretical research foundation for studying the interaction between liquid marbles and droplets and provides a new research idea for liquid marbles to transport micro-droplets.
