With the acceleration of the pace of social industrialization, the global demand for energy is increasing, especially the demand for oil is also increasing. With the long-term exploitation of petroleum resources, exploration and development of major oil fields have gradually turned to complex wells such as deep wells, horizontal wells, and extended reach wells.Due to the complex borehole conditions and fluctuating lithology of the formation, during drilling operations, due to the influence of well conditions, continuous contact friction between the drilling tool and the wall of the borehole or between the bit and the formation will easily lead to vibration of the drilling tool.Drilling tool vibration will cause a large change in the torque of the drilling tool or even stuck drilling.Severe vibration will cause the drilling tool to fail or break, which will seriously affect the safety of drilling. In view of the current shortages of real-time monitoring technology of drill vibration at home and abroad, after deeply studying the vibration mechanism and influencing factors of drilling tools,it is concluded that torsional vibration of drilling tools will cause changes in downhole rotational speed and lead to the reduction of rock breaking efficiency.Therefore,real-time monitoring of changes in drilling parameters such as downhole speed and mechanical specific energy, etc.to identify the tool vibration has great significance for field applications. The paper introduced the monitoring mechanism of drilling tool vibration and analyzed the influencing factors of drilling tool vibration.Based on the monitoring mechanism of the torsional vibration of drilling tools,a method to identify abnormalities in the torsional vibration of drilling tools by real-time monitoring of changes in drilling parameters such as downhole speed and mechanical specific energy was proposed. The analysis of downhole speed and mechanical specific energy shows that the downhole speed and mechanical specific energy parameters can be calculated by the ground meter measurement parameters. At the same time, the dissertation evaluates and analyzes the adaptability of real-time monitoring of the torsional vibration of drilling tools. It provides a theoretical project basis for real-time monitoring of drilling tool torsional vibration based on ground instrument parameters. The paper analyzes the characteristics of mechanical specific energy and downhole rotational speed, and establishes the mechanical specific energy and downhole rotational speed calculation model respectively.Considering that the mechanical specific energy can not identify the specific type of drilling tool vibration, this paper proposes a method of judging the torsional vibration of the drilling tool by monitoring the mechanical specific energy, the drilling pressure and the change trend of the ROP.At the same time,in combination with the change in downhole rotational speed,real-time monitoring of drilling tool torsional vibration technology improves accuracy, and provides a theoretical basis for real-time monitoring of drilling tool torsional vibration technology. The paper developed a real-time monitoring program for the torsional vibration of drilling tools and developed a system that can monitor the torsional vibration of drilling tools in real time. The application of the sy stem in the field shows that the system can realize the collection and transmission of real-time data. The system is stable in operation and the accuracy of the monitoring results is high.It can provide decision-making basis for field technicians in the drilling process and meet the actual requirements of the site.
