Objective: To understand the basic situation of high school students’ achievement goal orientation,learning burnout and mental health as well as the relationship among the three,and on this basis,further targeted to design group psychological counseling aimed at improving high school students’ achievement goal orientation,so as to explore effective ways to reduce high school students’ learning burnout and then reduce mental health symptoms.Methods: This study consists of two parts,one USES the achievement goal orientation scale,youth learning burnout scale,middle school students’ mental health scale for the survey of 959 high school students,with the collected data,inspection relation model between the three variables,validation of learning burnout in achievement goal orientation and intermediary effect between the symptoms of mental health.Study 2,based on the results of a study on high school students achievement goal orientation design group counseling intervention program,select avoider high achievement goal orientation,learning burnout and mental health symptoms above the critical level(counseling)of 40 high school students randomly assigned into the experimental group(20)and the control group(20)to carry out the control experiment group psychological guidance,Both groups were tested before and after.Conclusion:(1)Learning burnout of senior high school students is positively correlated with mental health symptoms.(2)High school students’ achievement goal oriented total scores were significantly correlated with learning burnout and mental health symptoms;There was a positive correlation between achievement goal orientation and learning burnout.There is a significant positive correlation between achievement approach goal orientation and mental health symptoms.Achievement avoidance goal orientation was positively correlated with learning burnout and mental health symptoms,while mastery avoidance goal orientation was positively correlated with learning burnout and mental health symptoms.(3)Learning burnout partially mediated the relationship between achievement goal orientation and mental health symptoms.(4)Group psychological counseling intervention can improve students’ achievement goal orientation and reduce learning burnout,thus reducing their mental health symptoms.
