Realizing common prosperity is the essential requirement of socialism and the common aspiration of the people.China’s economic and social development has made remarkable achievements in recent years, but there are still regional development imbalance, urban and rural development imbalance, income distribution imbalance and other problems, which further lead to the gap between the rich and the poor, social class differentiation and solidification and other problems.Research in social class psychology shows that the material conditions in which people grow up and live have a lasting impact on their personal and social identity, which influences the way they think and feel about their social environment,as well as their social behavior. To some extent, the difference in economic status leads to social inequality and social contradictions, which may lead to the aggressive behaviors such as the social group incidents, violent and terrorist violent crimes. In order to investigate the influence of socioeconomic status on college students’ aggressiveness and its mechanism,773 college students from a university in Yunnan province were tested with 4 Scales-Mac Arthur’s Ladder Scale,Objective Socioeconomic Status Questionnaire,Sense of Control Questionnaire,Attribution Style for the Rich-Poor Gap Questionnaire and Buss-Perry Aggressiveness Questionnaire. This paper explores the relationship between socioeconomic status and college students’ aggressiveness, and tried to test a moderated mediation model to investigate the mediating role of sense of control and the moderating role of wealth attribution. The results showed that:(1)socioeconomic status negatively predicted college students’ aggressiveness;(2)Sense of control played a completely mediating role in the relationship between aggressiveness and socioeconomic status;(3)The mediating effect of perceived control was moderated by the attribution of wealth and poverty. To be detailed, the attribution of wealth moderated the first half of the influence of objective socioeconomic status on college students’ aggressiveness through the mediation of perceived control;the attribution of wealth moderated the direct effect part of the college students’ aggressiveness model which is effected by the subjective socioeconomic status through the mediation of sense control. The results of this study are helpful to reveal the influence of socioeconomic status on college students’ aggressiveness and its internal mechanisms, and have a certain enlightenment significance for improving and intervening college students’ aggressiveness, promoting their physical and mental health and social harmonious development.
