Kant said: “Every person who is morally valuable must bear something that does not bear any responsibility, not a person but a thing.” Responsibility is not only an important psychological quality of the individual, but also social development. An important component, and the formation of a sense of responsibility is the result of a combination of factors. The “Process-Person-Context-Time Model” proposes that the environmental factors affecting individual development are divided into the near-end environment and the remote environment. The macro-environment must affect the individual development through the near-end environment. The family's macroenvironment plays a vital role in early children's development, and the remote environment also indirectly affects the development of young children by affecting the near-end environment.Studies have shown that the level of parental expectations is important for the development of children's sense of responsibility, and family socioeconomic status is an important factor affecting parental expectations.According to this, there may be a more complicated relationship between parental expectations, family socioeconomic status and children's responsibility. Therefore, this study intends to explore the relationship between family socioeconomic status, parental expectations and children's responsibility, and to analyze the role of family socioeconomic status in parental expectations and the responsibility of children. The main objectives of this study are:(1)revising the Chinese version of the Parental Expectation Questionnaire;(2)understanding the general characteristics of the child's sense of responsibility and parental expectations;(3)examining the relationship between parental expectations, family socioeconomic status, and the sense of responsibility;(4)Investigating the role of family socioeconomic status in parental expectations and responsibility.475 children from 2 kindergartens were selected as subjects, and the family's socioeconomic status, parental expectations and child responsibility were assessed using parental reporting. The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Parental Expectation Questionnaire contains four dimensions, namely learning and development, family life,sociality,self-care and self-reliance,and the questionnaire have a good reliability and validity.(2)There are significant differences in gender and age in the development ofchildren's sense of responsibility. In own responsibilities, family responsibilities, group responsibilities, and social responsibilities, girls are significantly higher than boys.in own responsibilities, family responsibilities,3 years old children are significantly lower than that of the 4 years old group and the 5 years old group, and there is no significant difference in the four dimensions between the 4 years old group and the 5 years old group.(3)Parental expectations no significant difference in age and gender of children, but there are significant differences in each dimension. The specific performance is that parents expect self-care and self-reliance to be significantly higher than learning and development, family life and sociality, family life is significantly higher than that of children's learning and development and sociality, and sociality is significantly higher than that of young children's learning and development.(4)There are significant positive correlations between the four aspects of learning and development, family life, sociality and child responsibility in parental expectation.Self-care and self-reliance are significantly positively related to children's self-responsibility,family responsibility and group responsibility. The social responsibility of young children is not significant.(5)There are a significant positive correlation between family socioeconomic status and child self-responsibility,family responsibility, group responsibility and social responsibility.(6)Family socioeconomic status has a significant regulatory effect between the family life,sociality,self-care and self-reliance dimensions that parents expect, and own responsibility, group responsibility and social responsibility.Specifically,in high socioeconomic status families, parental expectations positively predict children's responsibility, group responsibility and social responsibility in the family life,social,self-care and self-reliance of children;in low socioeconomic status, the expectations of children's family life,sociality,self-care and self-reliance can significantly predict children's responsibility and group responsibility, but the predictive effect on children's social responsibility is not significant.
