According to the UN standards, developing countries with more than 10 percent of their population aged 60 or above belong to the category of senile countries.By the end of 2019,China had about 254 million people aged 60 or above, accounting for 18.1 percent of the total population, including 176 million people aged 65 or above, accounting for 12.6 percent of the total population, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics. On the one hand,China’s aging process is accelerating, and population aging has become China’s basic national conditions for a long period of time in the future. On the other hand, the accelerated development of the digital era makes it difficult for the elderly to follow the pace of The Times.Exploring the relationship between the digital divide faced by the elderly and their subjective well-being,improving the quality of life of the elderly has become a topic that needs our close attention. At the same time, with the rapid development of information technology, when most people can enjoy the convenience of intelligent life brought by technological innovation, news about the "digital difficulties" experienced by the elderly in their life continues to attract attention, especially after the outbreak of COVID-19,which has brought the topic of digital divide among the Lao Nepali people into the public eye.In the digital age,how can we use humanized and refined social governance to enable the elderly, the obvious "vulnerable group" in the digital age,to live conveniently, safely and with dignity,to coordinate the development of smart technology with the aging society, and to enable the elderly to share the fruits of social progress. Therefore,it is necessary to further explore the influence of digital divide on the subjective well-being of the elderly. On the basis of literature review, this study adopts snowball sampling method, the elderly in the community to select 20 in guangzhou as the research object, carries on the depth interview, with the development of the digital divide stage as the storyline, analyze their Internet use in all phases of the characteristics, the digital divide impression of their subjective well-being,such as stories,Through analysis, interpretation and discussion in narrative research, this paper analyzes the influencing factors of digital divide and subjective well-being of the elderly, and investigates the specific mechanism of action between the bridging of digital divide and the well-being of the elderly.Through the above research, this paper draws the following main conclusions:First, the use of the Internet can improve the subjective well-being of the elderly.Elderly users give positive evaluation to the impact of the Internet on their life, and the most intuitive subjective feeling lies in the convenience and sense of fulfillment of life.Secondly, the emergence of digital divide reduces the subjective well-being of the elderly, and the elderly at the disadvantaged end of the gap have lower subjective well-being.Third,bridging the digital divide can effectively improve the subjective well-being of the elderly, and the bridging of the digital divide requires multi-party linkage and multiple measures.
