| Mongolian traditional sports is one of the important components in the inheritance and development of Mongolian traditional culture.Colleges and universities of the are important carriers for the inheritance and development of Mongolian traditional sports in Inner Mongolia.This research studies,in Inner Mongolia,the status of the development of Mongolian traditional sports in colleges and universities.With eight colleges and universities in Inner Mongolia involved in this research,the research is to figure out the status of the development of traditional sports,and the restrictive factors.In this paper,the main methods of investigating the development status of Mongolian traditional sports projects in colleges and universities include literature method,questionnaire survey and expert interview method,and use mathematical statistics method and logical analysis method to analyze the survey results.The research and analysis results are as follows:1.In Inner Mongolia,only a few types of Mongolian traditional sports are developed in colleges and universities,among which competitive sports develop relatively well,while fitness and entertainment sports develop insufficiently.In addition,there are defects in the examination methods and contents of Mongolian traditional physical education courses,and it is impossible to evaluate students’ mastery of Mongolian traditional physical education theoretical knowledge and technical skills.2.In Inner Mongolia,the curriculum content related to Mongolian traditional sports courses in colleges and universities mainly focuses on teaching techniques and skills,but education of students’ thoughts and culture is ignored.Also,the teaching method of the Mongolian traditional physical education courses is simplistic,which is the traditional way.Moreover,course evaluation of the Mongolian traditional physical education curriculum is simplistic as well,not capable of assessing the comprehensive ability of students.3.Physical education teachers in colleges and universities have a low understanding of Mongolian traditional sports,but they have a positive attitude towards carrying out Mongolian traditional sports activities in colleges and universities and are willing to receive training in Mongolian traditional sports in Inner Mongolia.4.The use of textbooks for Mongolian traditional physical education curriculum is not uniform,and the content needs improvement.Besides,in Inner Mongolia,for the insufficient capital investment in Mongolian traditional sports projects in colleges and universities,types of venues are simplistic,and equipment is imperfect,which is manifested by teachers and students being dissatisfied with the existing venues and equipment.5.Most students of the colleges and universities love and are willing to participate in Mongolian traditional sports and want to know the technical skills of Mongolian traditional sports.Mongolian students have higher requirements for the content of Mongolian traditional sports courses,while students of other ethnic groups consider the entertainment of Mongolian traditional sports more.Based on the research,some suggestions which can promote the development of Mongolian traditional sports in colleges and universities of Inner Mongolia are given: colleges and universities should strengthen their understanding of Mongolian traditional sports,promote the construction of physical education team and curriculum,compile and perfect textbooks,improve venues and equipment,enhance resources sharing among colleges and universities,effectively combine physical education courses related to Mongolian traditional sports with extracurricular activities,and cultivate students’ habit of lifelong physical exercise and the concept of inheriting Mongolian traditional sports culture. |
