A Study On Social Work Intervention To Enhance Adolescents’ Career Aspirations ——Take The L Town Migrant Community In Ynnan Province As An Example

Relocation is one of the effective measures of targeted poverty alleviation and development.It can not only quickly change the living environment of the poor,provide a livable and good ecological environment,but also provide a social environment with better economic development and more opportunities.Therefore,it is not only one of the key contents of the party and the state’s current poverty alleviation and development work,but also an important measure to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation.Based on literature research,found that the current domestic scholars on the research of the change of relocation focused on relocation within the community,and immigration,community development,community construction and community reconstruction,etc.,a few scholars focus on change of relocation in the community youth groups,and the teenagers of the research is focused on the vocational education and career planning,etc.,Little attention has been paid to the career aspirations of teenagers.Of child and adolescent stage is an important exploration period,dream and plan for the future,both for teenagers or for the family is in itself an important exploratory task,related studies have shown that children from poor families have less higher occupational expectation,were also more likely to have behavioral and emotional problems.Career expectations mitigate the link between family poverty and externalization probiems.Children with higher career aspirations also tend to be more focused,do better at school and do better at school,and are more likely to achieve higher degrees and secure jobs.Children because of their physical and mental development is not mature,more vulnerable,especially deserves the attention of social workers,the author in combing the existing literature on change of relocation community,youth career ambitions,on the basis of combination of questionnaire and interview method,understand the L town migration community status of adolescents’ career ambitions.In the study,33 adolescents from registered poor families in L Town,Yunnan province were treated with intervention services using single-group pre-and-post-test method.According to Gottfredson’s career ambition process model,the targets of intervention were divided into three parts: occupational cognition,self-cognition and acceptable occupational range,so as to improve the self-efficacy of adolescents.The cognitive range and acceptable range of occupation,and finally achieve the purpose,and finally achieve the purpose of enhancing the career aspirations of teenagers.It is found that group work under the guidance of Gottfredson’s career ambition process model has a significant effect on the career ambition of the adolescents in the relocated communities,and their self-efficacy and continuing education seores have been improved.Teenager’s career ambition should be a multi-dimensional and multi-subject concern.Only when teenagers,families,schools,communities and society work together to promote teenagers’ career ambition can it be better promoted.
