During the transition period, it is a kind of tendency that a large number of rural floating labors leaving for big cities to seek for suitable jobs. In the processes, there forms some characteristic occupational groups in different situations. The researches on occupational groups can be sorted into the theory of the social network which are a core theory and methodology in the study of rural floating labors, Their integration is contributing to the overall research of the formation on occupational groups. In theory and practice there are logical relations between the social network of rural floating labors and occupational groups. On the following researches, It studies the characters on Guangzhou taxi drivers borned on You county as well as the formation of this special occupational groups. The results are as the follows:First, the basic reasons on the formation of the taxi driver groups: Due to the income differences caused by different economic structures on urban and rural areas which lead to the efficient occupational floating.Second, the relations between the occupation attainment and social networks: the taxi drivers are deeply relying on their social networks to find their jobs which make them similar and strengthen their mutual understanding and trust.Third, the taxi drivers ' life style in the scope of their network: their living and work are depending on their strong ties and weak ties which makes their life becoming more and more peculiar.Fourth, the taxi drivers 'occupational status: here discussing in two parts, their economic status, which are superior comparing to people in the rural areas. On the other sides, the improving on their social status is still in a lower level comparing to the urban people.Fifth, the discussion on the belonging sense of taxi drivers: working in cities, although owning a higher income, familiar on the urban life style as well as the developing on their social circles, they have a weaker sense of belonging. Their belonging sense is related to their dependence of social networks.The last but not the least, their floating experiences and the attainment on modernity: the experiences in the cities widening their vision, enrich their social network and improving their consciousness and ability of competence.
